About Dr. John Mistretta, D.C.

Dr. John Mistretta has practiced chiropractic since 1987 and has cared for more than 10,000 patients in the Warren and Howland area. He takes time to explain what is causing a problem and exactly what it takes to correct it.

Dr. Mistretta found chiropractic as a patient. A bad fall at twelve left him with a back injury and other health problems that months of appointments failed to resolve. Chiropractic was tried as a last resort, and it relieved the back pain and the other conditions along with it. He decided then that this was the work he wanted to do, and after 39 years in practice it is still what drives him.

Philosophy

When a patient is in pain, the first job is relief. From there the spine, nervous system and joints are examined together with the patient's health history, symptoms and goals, and a care plan is built around them. The goal is not to keep patients coming in indefinitely, but to get them feeling better and give them the tools to manage their health afterward.
